Douglas Taylor new commercial director at Bruichladdich
We wish Douglas Taylor great success and all the best from Germany !!!!
News from the laddieblog:
“Douglas Taylor started work today as our new commercial director. He joins the business after 13 years with Diageo, with whom he has worked since leaving Strathclyde University, most recently as Global Innovation Manager working across Asia, Middle East, Europe & America.
As we complete our first decade, our stocks come of age and the company matures, Bruichladdich is entering one of the most exciting new phases of its 130 year roller-coaster history.
Douglas’s career path has been refreshingly varied, being involved across the drinks sector from wine to whisky in both sales, marketing and distributor management. His skills are not only in driving sales, but building brands.
Douglas recognises that, as he says, “Bruichladdich has an unmatched reputation for combining an emphasis on total quality with an innovative edge that brings amazing new experiences to the malt enthusiast and, equally importantly, attracting new consumers.”
“In particular, Bruichladdich’s versatility, curiosity and inventiveness is reaching consumers with amazing new flavour experiences that mass-scale producers simply cannot match.”
“I’m really fired-up by the opportunity to bring Bruichladdich to a wider audience of sophisticated consumers who want to find genuine new experiences in whisky and appreciate the brand’s traceability, provenance and authenticity.”
Douglas (35) is married to Lesley and has 2 daughters, and will be based at our new Blytheswood Square sales office in Glasgow.
We very much look forward to working with Douglas, he’s a charming guy and will be a great team member, and I have no doubt that the skills he will bring to the company will drive Bruichladdich to even greater success.
We are very pleased to welcome him to Bruichladdich.”
